I am an out-of-network provider.
I am happy to provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance directly for potential reimbursement. I encourage you to reach out to your insurance provider to see if your plan covers out-of-network providers.
-
Yes, I allocate a small number of sliding scale slots for clients who qualify. If fees might be a barrier but you think we might be a good fit, please reach out and we can discuss what’s possible.
-
Book a free 15-minute consultation or reach out to me directly, and we will discuss whether we are a good fit for your particular needs.
-
Fit matters, and you are entitled to find a therapist that you feel great about working with. All ethically sound therapists understand this and should encourage you (even help you) find someone else if you feel something isn’t working for you. The wrong fit isn’t a failure, it’s information to help you in your search.
If we meet once and you’re not feeling it, just let me know and I’d be more than happy to provide referrals.
-
Consistency is where momentum comes from, so I typically ask clients to meet with me weekly. If you need to meet less frequently, we can discuss that option.
How long depends on your goals: some people come for a season around something specific; depth-oriented work that changes long-standing patterns often takes longer. We'll talk openly about your goals and revisit them as we go.
-
No. Engaged, seriously dating, moving in together, or just sensing it's time to get intentional. Committed and considering counts; the work is the same.
-
Yes! As a mental health clinician I am trained to respect all client values and beliefs, and to work within the bounds that clients permit.
Feel free to ask me in more detail about your specific needs during our consultation call.

The kind of work I do requires nuanced communication. Despite being a fluent heritage speaker, I do not yet offer sessions fully in Korean but may do so in the future.
For now, sessions are conducted in English, but Korean is always welcome in them. I’m more than happy to talk about the weight of 효도, all the 눈치밥 you grew up eating, or why your partner doesn't understand what “밥 먹었어?” really means.

Yes. Research, much of which was done during the COVID-19 pandemic, finds telehealth therapy comparable to in-person care for the concerns I work with. In practice, my clients find it removes the biggest barriers: no commute, no waiting room, sessions from wherever you actually are.
If you would rather see someone in person, I’d be happy to refer you to someone near you depending on where you are located.
